Zabbix 5.x templates compatibility with Zabbix 6 version

Can anyone comment about Zabbix 5.x templates compatibility with new Zabbix 6 version?

If you upgrade, then things will be changed for you.
If you want to install 5.0 templates, then that will not do, as expression formats changed in 5.4.
Using templates for 5.4 may work with 6.

I thought that older templates could be imported to newer server and conversion is being done during import process.

That's quite easy to test. Just try to import and see does it work.

What is the best procedure for a new installation, when trying to import templates originally created for Zabbix 3.0 to 4.4?

- Does anybody know of a converter (e.g. ansible, Python, etc.)?
- Is there a good documentation, how the new format differs from the previous format?

ye.. my previous comment is BS. You can take older template and just import it. it will be converted on the fly. At least worked ok with export from 4.4 and import to 6.
